Highlights Spring 2011

CLIC spent more than 10 days in Sahoo in the spring of 2011. When we were there we had the chance to see and experience:

  • Driving through the Himalaya mountain range and crossing the highest pass in the outer Himalayas
  • Participating in the Annual Minjar Festival
  • Visit local children’s home hiking across the Himalayas
  • Traveling with the nomadic tribe Gujjars, the buffalo herders
  • Eating a traditional hot corn bread mixed with fresh buffalo milk at 9000 feet above the valley
  • Playing cricket with the local children along the banks of the River
