Who we are

Children Learning International Cultures (CLIC) Abroad is a registered 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization founded by renowned photographer DK Bhaskar. We strive to capture the little-known cultures and untold stories of India through storytelling narratives with the medium of Arts, theater and music. Direct involvement of students from two distinct cultures helps to reveal the untouched innocence of a child’s perspective, and grow and learn through their shared experiences.

CLIC Abroad is offers unique experiences to anyone who would like to enhance their knowledge of cultures and people. With generous cooperation and donations, we have set up a restricted scholarship fund to provide scholarships for deserving students  to engage in unique international exchange program as part of their commitment to student enhancement and learning.

The CLIC Abroad restricted scholarship fund awards are made to students by the scholarship committee taking into consideration the established criteria. The CLIC Abroad restricted fund will enable students to fully participate in this course, rather than having their options limited by household income. Each exchange program is intended to enhance international experience, learning cultural diversity, academics, service learning, leadership activities, cultural immersion experiences, and a rich experiential approach. Specifically, students will learn to identify and document the vanishing cultures and changing landscapes of the people living in rural areas of different cultures.

All funds donated to the CLIC Abroad, whether income or principal, and whether acquired by contribution or otherwise, shall be devoted to scholarships and directly related expenses and course supplies.

Our Mission

CLIC Abroad shall provide educational workshops to identify and document the vanishing cultures and changing landscapes of the people living in rural areas of India. Documentation will be achieved primarily through the use of Arts (Visual Arts), Theater and Music (ATM). By empowering the local people to document their own lives, CLIC Abroad workshops and educational experiences aid in recording and archiving vanishing cultures, which will serve as powerful instructional tools depicting cultural diversity and the ancient cultures of India, and will be shared with educators and individuals in both contemporary urban cultures and future generations throughout the world.
